Erinn Cayehal Chang
BA, E-CYT, CST, CHHC, CPP

Erinn Chang brings 20 years and over 25,000 hours of experience in leading wellness programs. Her credentials span a degree in Human Ecology to countless certifications in modalities of yoga, meditation, holistic coaching, energy work, nutrition, and more

  • With more than 25,000 hours of professional experience working with clients over two decades and thousands of hours in trainings and certifications, Erinn offers a robust repertoire of knowledge and skill. Holistic health and wellness are the pillars of Erinn's existence personally, as well as professionally, having been introduced to yoga and meditation in early childhood.  Her rare scope of wellness industry expertise combines with a lifetime of personal experiences to yield a uniquely comprehensive perspective.

    Erinn is deeply committed to serving others through holistic modalities, and has led thousands of people into healthier states of being. From that extensive expertise, Erinn created the three-prong method which is now the signature system of BEsential. 

    Erinn holds a degree in Human Ecology and numerous certifications including Holistic Health Coach, multiple yoga specialities, various meditation styles, Craniosacral Therapy, Pilates, Reiki, and other forms of Energywork.

    Over the past 20 years she has founded several other small wellness businesses including Sanctuary Holistic Health & Yoga Center, Synergy Consulting, Be Yogaful, The Virtual Studio, and equestriOM. 

    Co-founding BEsential is the culmination of Erinn's lifelong pursuit of holistic health practices and decades of extensive professional service. 

 

Tanhya Schimel

Tanhya's interest in holistic wellness began in her late teens and became a passion she pursues through extensive study and practice. Her qualifications include IPEC coaching certification, yoga teacher certification, MBSR training, Vedic meditation practitioner, Reiki certification, and psychology studies at The New School

  • Tanhya brings a unique perspective informed by years of working in the financial industry, nonprofit organizations, professional trainings, and personal roles as wife and mother.  Tanhya's interest in holistic wellness began in her late teens and became a passion she pursues through extensive study and practice. Her qualifications include IPEC coaching certification, yoga teacher certification, MBSR training, Vedic meditation practitioner, Reiki certification, and psychology studies at The New School.  

    Establishing BE Consulting was a natural next step for her to support professionals integrate stress reduction techniques into their day. As a co-founder, Tanhya is hands-on in the development of the proprietary three-pronged approach and delivering it conveniently and accessibly to the workplace. Her vision is to create a meaningful impact in organizational cultures by integrating holistic modalities into daily life.

 

Richard Schimel

Rich is the Co-Founder and Co-CIO of Cinctive Capital Management. His career in the investment management industry spans more than 30 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics.

  • Rich is the Co-Founder and Co-CIO of Cinctive Capital Management. His career in the investment management industry spans more than 30 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics and remains a dedicated philanthropic supporter of Michigan’s school of education and athletic programs. He also serves as President of “A Little Hope,” a nonprofit focused on childhood grief counseling and bereavement support. 

    Rich started consistently practicing yoga and meditation over five years ago, and began with classes once per week, and gradually increased the frequency due to the significant benefits he felt in body and mind. The pandemic conditions opened the possibilities of much more frequent practices through virtual instruction. The integration of breath, movement, and mindfulness during the day quickly became essential to him by drastically reducing stress and improving professional presence. That is what inspired Rich to bring the benefits of this method to other professionals and organizations.
